On the Celebration of Labor Day — May 1, 2025
Today, we honor the backbone of our society—our workers. On this Labor Day, I extend my heartfelt respect and admiration to all the laborers of the Bangsamoro region and the entire Filipino nation who, day in and day out, give their strength, time, and talents to build a better future for their families and for our homeland.
The journey of our region toward peace and progress has not been easy, and it continues to demand courage, sacrifice, and unity. Our workers—whether in the fields, in offices, on construction sites, in classrooms, or abroad—carry this burden with quiet dignity. Their hard work sustains the rhythm of our daily lives and strengthens the foundation of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
As a member of Parliament, I remain committed to advocating for policies that protect the rights of our workers, ensure decent wages, promote livelihood opportunities, and prioritize labor welfare and dignity. No worker should ever be left behind or treated unjustly. Every drop of sweat must be met with fairness, respect, and recognition.
On this day of reflection and gratitude, let us recommit ourselves to creating a society where work is honored, and workers are empowered. May we continue to build a Bangsamoro that upholds the dignity of labor and uplifts every working man and woman.
