MAKATI CITY, July 2, 2026 – Member of Parliament Abdulbasit R. Benito continued his active participation in the second day of the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (CENRE) meeting, chaired by MP Tawakkal Midtimbang, held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
The Committee resumed its deliberations on various bills and resolutions referred to the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (CENRE), including Parliament Bill No. 453, "An Act Establishing the 'May Ayuda sa Basura' Program, Institutionalizing a Trash-to-Cash System by Providing Incentives for Sustainable Waste Management, and for Other Purposes."
During the meeting, Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua arrived and observed the Committee deliberations. His presence was warmly welcomed by the Members of Parliament and participants, who expressed their appreciation for the Chief Minister's continued support for the legislative work of the Committee.
The Committee continued its discussions on the proposed measures as part of its commitment to advancing legislation that promotes environmental protection, sustainable natural resource management, and the welfare of the Bangsamoro people.
