DATU MONTAWAL, Maguindanao del Sur — The Office of Member of Parliament Hon. Abdulbasit R. Benito conducted an ocular visit yesterday in Barangay Balatunkayo as part of the social preparation for the installation of solar streetlights along the barangay’s main roads.
The visit aimed to assess the identified areas and coordinate with local officials in preparation for the implementation of the project.
Barangay Chairman Paisar Lintongan expressed his gratitude to MP Benito for the initiative, saying the solar streetlights will be a significant help to residents, particularly those using the roads at night.
The project seeks to provide lighting in dark and remote areas of the barangay, improving visibility and safety for the community.
The initiative is also in line with Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua’s call to bring government services closer to the people, particularly those living in far-flung Bangsamoro communities.
