MP Benito Expresses Strong Support for the Launching of Bangsamoro Endowment, Call, and Guidance Center

COTABATO CITY, July 14, 2025 — Member of Parliament Abdulbasit R. Benito expressed his full support for the launching of the Bangsamoro Endowment, Call, and Guidance Center held today, hailing it as a significant milestone in the collective effort to strengthen the Islamic faith and the role of Da’wah across the Bangsamoro region.
The newly launched center, a dedicated facility for Ustadz and Ulama actively engaged in spreading the teachings and principles of Islam, was established under the leadership of Bangsamoro Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua. The initiative aims to deepen the unity and coordination among Islamic preachers in the region and to support their mission in promoting authentic Islamic knowledge and practice in every Bangsamoro community.
MP Benito praised the project’s vision, stating, “This Center is not just a structure—it is a symbol of our shared responsibility to promote moral integrity, strengthen our Islamic values, and ensure that the knowledge of Islam reaches every home in Bangsamoro. I commend Chief Minister Macacua for championing this cause.”
In his remarks, Chief Minister Macacua emphasized the need to address the knowledge gap among those who identify as Muslims but may fall short in their understanding and practice of the faith. “This center will help fill that void,” he said.
The Bangsamoro Government has earmarked ₱18.5 million for the construction of the center, which will rise beside the Grand Mosque in Barangay Kalanganan 2, Cotabato City. The facility will include two conference rooms, an executive office, guest and VIP rooms, a library, an IT room, a kitchen, a dining area, prayer space, parking, and more—all designed to support the work and collaboration of Islamic scholars and leaders.
MP Benito highlighted that the initiative aligns with the ongoing implementation of Moral Governance, a core philosophy introduced by former Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim Al-Hadj and continued by the current administration.
“As a Member of Parliament, I stand behind every effort that brings us closer to a morally guided, spiritually grounded Bangsamoro. This Center is a vital part of that journey,” MP Benito concluded.
The launch was attended by members of the Ulama community, BARMM officials, and local leaders who collectively voiced their support for the center’s vision and long-term impact.
