Davao City — June 30, 2025. In a heartfelt message delivered with both pride and purpose, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament (MP) Abdulbasit R. Benito expressed unwavering support for the 2nd BARMM Air Transportation Summit, held today at the Acacia Hotel in Davao City. The summit, organized by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC-BARMM), drew stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to chart a stronger and more connected future for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
Speaking with a deep sense of responsibility, MP Benito emphasized that air transportation is more than just a mode of travel—it is a critical lifeline for the Bangsamoro people. “It serves as a bridge between aspirations and opportunities,” he said, highlighting its essential role in linking distant provinces and island communities to trade, education, public services, and even family reunions.
“In an archipelagic region like ours,” Benito noted, “strengthening air connectivity is not merely a convenience—it is a necessity.”
He lauded the MOTC for leading the way, calling the summit a “platform where stakeholders can come together to share insights, confront challenges, and plan collaboratively.” According to Benito, the Ministry’s commitment is “laying down the runways not only for aircraft, but for the dreams and progress of our people.”
As one of the region’s elected representatives, Benito reaffirmed his commitment to supporting infrastructure development, policies, and partnerships that align with the principles of Moral Governance and uplift the lives of Bangsamoro constituents. “I vow to continue supporting efforts that empower our region,” he declared.
He concluded his message with a powerful hope—that this summit will not only pave the way for sustainable air transportation solutions, but also deepen the collective spirit, vision, and hope that binds the Bangsamoro people.
The 2nd BARMM Air Transportation Summit continues to symbolize the region’s bold steps toward a future that is more connected—by air, and by shared aspirations.
