Panabo City, Davao del Norte — In an effort to enhance security awareness and personal protection readiness, Member of Parliament Abdulbasit R. Benito actively participated in the VIP Protection Training (Executive Course) exclusively designed for Members of the Bangsamoro Parliament.
Organized by the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Security Support Section, under the leadership of Mr. Abdulgani Caludtiag, the intensive course was held in Panabo City, Davao del Norte and featured real-world safety scenarios and hands-on drills essential for high-risk environments.
One of the highlights of the training was the guidance of Police Major Renante C. Aritalia of the Philippine National Police, who served as the lead trainer. His extensive experience in law enforcement and tactical operations added depth and credibility to the program.
Participants, including MP Benito, engaged in practical exercises covering:
-Basic firearm orientation
-Proper handling and safety protocols
-Ambush scenarios and immediate action drills
-Firearm malfunction management
-Fire and immobilization tactics, among others.
MP Benito expressed deep appreciation for the training, emphasizing its importance in the current security climate.
“This training is more than just protection—it’s about preparedness, responsibility, and ensuring that we, as public officials, can continue serving our people without fear,” he shared.
The initiative reflects the Bangsamoro Parliament’s commitment to not only legislative excellence but also the safety and well-being of its Members as they carry out their duties in the region.
