In a powerful show of unity and political strength, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament Abdulbasit R. Benito joined thousands of supporters this morning at the historic MILF General Assembly and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Grand Miting de Avance held at Camp Darapanan.
The event drew an overwhelming crowd of over 200,000 members and supporters from across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), a testament to the enduring influence of both the UBJP and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
During the assembly, UBJP President and MILF Chairman Ahod B. Ebrahim, alongside UBJP Secretary General and BARMM Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, and UBJP Vice President and MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal, formally proclaimed the UBJP candidates for various local positions throughout the region.
MP Benito, who was among the key officials in attendance, expressed his support for the party’s vision and candidates, underscoring the importance of strong, principled leadership as the BARMM continues its journey under a parliamentary form of governance.
The grand gathering served not only as a campaign highlight but also as a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to peace, development, and good governance in the Bangsamoro region. With the elections on the horizon, today's event marked a significant milestone in rallying grassroots support and solidifying unity among the party’s members and allies.
